Hi, I've been having this issue and I've been clawing at it for a few days now with no solution so far. I've just been trying to get a .ipa file running on my IOS device. I've read the steps on how to get it running for IOS, (takes way too long by the way) and I finally got to the point where I successfully created a .ipa file with the deployment tool. But when I try dragging it to my IOS device it says "failed to load" [app name goes here] Is anyone else having this problem? I have a feeling it has to do with getting the device OK to be for development. But I've done everything that I've been told to. Any bright ideas?

Hi,

Hi,

Are you using Windows or Mac to develop in? What are you using to transfer your app to your device? Do you have a developer account with apple and the device id registered with the provisioning profile which you have installed on the device?

I am using Windows. I am

I am using Windows. I am using the same PC through iTunes to transfer the app to my device. I've done all the things, but the one thing I'm never quite sure about is the provisioning profile that's installed on my device. Since this isn't occurring with the help of a mac, I'm not sure if I'm seeing the right thing. I forget the name of the program that is used to install the profile onto the device, but from what I've read, when you click on the summary tab, you are supposed to see the information of the device, and also a section (still within summary) that says something about provision. I never see that, and instead it just says contacts. Sorry if that doesn't help, but I am incredibly confused.

Try using the iPhone

Try using the iPhone Configuration Utility, it has an easy way to install the Provisioning Profiles and the App. I have never used iTunes to copy to a device.

I have tried installing the

I have tried installing the provisioning profile several times, but never the app. (I started writing this before I tried it, and now I'm writing after I have tried it) So I figured out how to do that install and I get an error that says: "Could not install application on device. Error: No code signature found." I'm not entirely sure what that means, but I'll keep searching. And just to make sure that I did this right... for the iPhone Configuration Utility, I was supposed to open up the rar file that marmalade generates right? because when trying to add an application to the utility, it looks for a .app file, and the closest thing I could find was a folder ending with .app inside of the rar file. If so, that is how I got to where I am right now. =[

When I use the deploy tool I

When I use the deploy tool I get a .ipa file which I drag into the iPhone Configuration Utility in its application tab. You also have to drag the provisioning profile into the iPhone Configuration Utility in its provisioning tab and then click on your device in the iPhone Configuration Utility and go to the provisioning profile tab and install it to your device.
