Hi,
Noticed a few things with the new forum:
- the file attachment option seems to be gone along with all files previously attached to posts.
- the thread subscription options seem to be gone.
- the op can now edit an opening post, but not any other of their own posts.
Is there any hope for these to change [back to what they used to be]?
Thanks,
György

p3gyorgy,
We are working on fixing all issues. Please keep reporting them.
Thx,
Chris
I've raised tickets for all of these, please keep them coming. Even if it's just for aesthetic issues. I'm not a huge fan of the new layout either but I can't really raise a ticket for "I don't like it" and I can't really remember specifically what was better about the old layout. All that comes to mind is threads taking up way too much space so you can't see all of them at a glance, which I'm also raising a ticket for.
Adam: thank you. I'm glad to see the file attachment feature back.
Is the timeout a new thing? I must have left my forum window open for just over an hour and I found myself logged out. I'm not sure if this level of security is necessary (it isn't with other forums and as far as I know no payment information is stored in the account - and I'm the guy that has his browser delete all cookies when closing it).
The issue of timed out logins has been raised and will be fixed in due course.
Hi,
-> Expandable, or at least larger, message/comment composition text area

The CLOSE button (when editing the OP) doesn't seem to do anything, or am I doing something wrong (I didn't tick Leave Shadow Copy, as I didn't want to).
Cheers,
György
@p3gyorgy - You need to scroll down to the bottom and hit "Create Topic" rather than "Close". I will raise a ticket for the Close button issue and to get the buttons renames to something more appropriate.
Samantha C: thank you for your reply. I'm assuming you mean click "Create Topic" to edit/update the opening post of a topic? What I wanted to achieve (sorry, my wording wasn't clear) is to close a topic.
What do you mean by to close a topic? Make it so that no more posts can be added to the thread?
Is there a way to see answered topics like the old way?
Samantha: no, rather than delete it. threads I've started and got 0 replies and are no longer topical either because I've found the answer in the docs that I might have slipped past, or the assumption I was making in the question was wrong and the solution was something wildly different, or that the question can't be answered etc...
One small but really irritating forum bug:
The 'Latest Comments' box shows the latest post in the thread... but attributes it to the incorrect author (the author shown is always the one who started the thread)
(That'd be a lot more useful if it could show the thread title, too)
Often, the main forum page (where the names of all the forums are listed) will have a "No New Post" icon next to a forum which in fact does contain new posts.
Within the forum, the new messages have "New Post" icons next to them, but the forum itself has a "No New Post" icon associated with it.

Maybe an option to be notified by email when we receive some answers.
Forum is important info source, but it seems...well...not on Marmalade level.
It would be great if the users would be able to start a new thread from the main forum page, especially considering that they'll have to re-select the forum to post in.
seconding that. and/or a Preview Post option.
